In the fall of 2024, between the mountains and the sea, Shanghai grew a village: ShanHaiWoo ๅฑฑๆตทๅž โ€” 4Seas' pop-up city of builders, dreamers and zu-friends. Vitalik keynoted the opening, and the bard who runs the A/V pressed record. ShanHaiWoo ๅฑฑๆตทๅž โ€” "mountain-sea woo" โ€” was 4Seas' Shanghai pop-up village: across October and November 2024, a corner of Shanghai became a small city of builders, researchers, artists and zu-friends, in the lineage that runs from Zuzalu through every ZuCity gathering since.

Vitalik keynoted the opening ceremony, opened the cowork, sat for an interview, and stayed for the ZuTown Hall โ€” and the bard who runs the A/V pressed record, as bards do. Those recordings transmit here as cross-exhibits via The VitPit ๐ŸŒบ; the photographs, the ceremony decks and the plans gather around them.

P.I.T. is the Knowledge Transponder's true backronym โ€” and it's named twice over. For the orchestra pit, where the musicians sit: the ones who make the sound the whole room dances to, rarely in the spotlight, always holding the signal. And in honor of OSO P.I.T. โ€” Shaka's ETHGlobal Delhi hackathon winner (Most Creative Use of ENS), where the pit first got its name.
